Run your coaching programs from your AI

The coaching backend your AI runs on.

upcoach holds your program: its structure, calendar, payments, space, participants and progress. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Desktop or Cursor, and whichever of these you use can build the curriculum, post to the space and read progress inside upcoach.

What upcoach holds

Your AI tool doesn’t have to keep your program in its memory. upcoach keeps it, and the AI tool you connect builds its curriculum, posts to its space and reads its progress.

  • The program structure. Program types are templates: pick a format, add a name and a start date, and upcoach builds the curriculum, events, channels and settings. The curriculum has three levels: sections contain modules, and modules contain activities. See Coaching & Training Program Types.
  • Events and the calendar. Events run on a single or recurring schedule inside the program, with reminders, attendance tracking and post-event feedback. Connect a calendar and events and booked sessions sync to Google Calendar or Outlook. See Events & Scheduling.
  • Offers and payments. Each offer has a checkout page where participants sign up and pay, and payments run through Stripe. The moment someone pays, they are enrolled in the right program. See Sell Programs & Bundles.
  • The program space. Each program has its own space, with the name, appearance, apps and onboarding you set. Your organization gets a branded subdomain on every plan.
  • Participants. A program’s Members list shows everyone with access and their role: Program Admin, Program Facilitator, Participant or Program Sponsor.
  • Progress reports. Reports cover activity completion, event attendance and appointments. Every program has a live report broken down by section and module, and one click on a participant’s name opens their full record. See Progress Tracking & Reporting.

What your AI does through the MCP connector today

upcoach’s MCP connector works with Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Desktop and Cursor. Once it’s connected, your AI tool uses the connector’s tools in your organization, acting as you. The full list is under Available tools in the help article.

  • Spaces, members and posts. Create a space with the Coaching & Learning app ready for its curriculum. List your spaces, a space’s apps, its members and its groups. Create a single event or a recurring series, post to a space’s Feed and send a message to its Channel.
  • Curriculum. Create, update, delete, list and reorder sections and modules.
  • Activities. Create and edit lessons, worksheets, task lists and check-ins. Read, duplicate and delete activities, set an activity’s cover, embed and attachments from files already uploaded, place activities in modules, reorder them, and search your activity library to reuse what you have.
  • Reports and participants. Get a space’s progress reports, look up a participant by name or email, read worksheet and check-in responses, see content engagement, and find participants who haven’t been active for a given number of days.
  • Help and updates. Search the upcoach help center and changelog.

Your AI tool works through the connector’s tools only. Offers, payments, calendar connections, adding members or changing their roles, and space settings aren’t among them, so you set those up in upcoach.

The connection uses OAuth: your AI tool never sees your upcoach password. It gets a token for the connector’s tools only, and you authorize each AI tool once.

Which plans it works on

  • Claude: custom connectors work on every Claude plan, including Free, where you can add one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an organization Owner adds it.
  • ChatGPT: custom MCP connections need Business, Enterprise or Edu, on ChatGPT on the web. On Pro you can connect with read-only access, so tools that create or change things won’t run.
  • Claude Desktop uses the same connectors as your Claude account.
  • upcoach: the integration is included in every plan.

How to connect

An organization admin opens Admin Area > Integrations > MCP in upcoach, copies the server URL, adds it to the AI tool and approves access on the upcoach authorization page. The steps differ for each tool: follow Connect AI tools to your organization with MCP.

Then try one of the help article’s example prompts:

  • “List all my live spaces and show me their progress”
  • “Which activities in my coaching space have the lowest completion rates?”
  • “Who hasn’t been active in the last 7 days in my mindfulness workshop?”
