Configure user onboarding for your organization
User onboarding is the short setup that runs once for a new client right after they accept your invitation, before they reach their first space. It collects their profile and calendar — both optional — so they show up to events and conversations with a name, photo, and time zone already in place.
This is a single org-wide toggle. It is separate from the per-program onboarding flow you build inside a space.
Open user onboarding settings
- Open Admin Area > Users from the sidebar.
- Click Onboarding under Users.
Organization Onboarding Steps
The Organization Onboarding Steps card has a single switch. When it’s on, every new client sees the org onboarding before their first space loads. When it’s off, new clients go straight to the space they were invited to.
The switch saves the moment you toggle it — there’s no separate save button.
The card also shows a preview of the three screens the client moves through:
- Complete Your Profile — name, avatar, headline, bio, timezone, location, and social links.
- Connect Calendar — Google or Microsoft. Pulls in busy times so booked sessions don’t collide with personal events.
- Start Exploring — a confirmation screen, then they land in their first space.
What new clients see
If onboarding is on, the client sees a header showing Step 1 of 2 with Skip for now and Save & Continue buttons. Each step is optional — Skip for now moves them forward without saving anything for that step. The completion screen is the third visual screen but isn’t counted as a step.
If onboarding is off, the client never sees this flow on their first visit. They can still update their profile and connect a calendar later from their avatar menu in the top-right of the header.
A client who has already gone through onboarding (or skipped it) won’t see it again, even if you turn the toggle back on.
Space onboarding is separate
Org onboarding runs once per client. Space onboarding runs every time a participant joins a new program, and you build it per program — welcome screen, worksheets, event RSVPs, first booked call, completion screen. The two flows can run back to back: org onboarding first, then the space onboarding for whichever program the client was invited to.
