Leaving a program as a participant
Leaving a program as a participant
Short answer: participants can’t leave a program themselves in upcoach today. Ask the person who runs the program (an Owner, Admin, Program Admin, or Facilitator) to remove you.
Why
Programs in upcoach are run by an admin team. Self-leave isn’t a feature in this iteration — partly to keep cohort rosters and program reports consistent, partly so program admins know who’s still engaged.
If you need to be removed, contact your program admin or whoever invited you.
What to ask for
- “Please remove me from [program name].”
- Mention if you want your responses and progress preserved (they’re kept by default if you’re re-added later) or anonymized.
When you’re removed
After an admin removes you:
- The program leaves your left sidebar
- You stop receiving notifications for it
- Upcoming events and one-on-one bookings in the program are cancelled
- Any active paid subscription tied to the program is cancelled
- Your posts, comments, messages, and event records stay — they remain attributed to your name
If you’re added back later, your progress and responses come back with you.
If you can’t reach an admin
Open the upcoach help chat (bottom-right of any page) or email your account contact. We can route the request on your behalf.
What you CAN do yourself
- Update your profile — name, avatar, timezone, social links: see Update your profile.
- Adjust notifications — quiet down emails for a program without leaving: see Manage your notifications and inbox.
- Manage your account-level settings at any time from the avatar menu in the top-right.
