Manage your notification preferences

Manage your notification preferences

You control exactly which notifications you receive and how they reach you. Preferences apply across all your programs, with the option to create per-space exceptions for channels and feeds.

Open your notification preferences

  1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner of the header.
  2. Select Your Profile.
  3. Switch to the Notifications tab.

All changes save automatically — no save button needed.

Choose how you’re notified

The How to notify you section has three delivery channels:

ChannelWhat it controls
Email notificationsToggle email on or off. When on, pick a frequency: upcoach recommended, Daily, or Weekly.
Mobile notificationsToggle push notifications on or off for the upcoach mobile app.
In-app notificationsAlways on. Badges and in-app alerts cannot be turned off.

Choose what you’re notified about

The What to notify you about section groups notifications into categories. Each category contains individual preferences that are either a toggle (on/off) or a dropdown with options.

The categories you see depend on your role:

All users see:

  • Coaching & Training & Accountability — New activities (lessons, worksheets, check-ins), events and booking availability, and ritual reminders
  • My Activities — Reminders for events you’ve RSVP’d to
  • Peer Learning & Interactions — Comments, reactions, channel messages, and new posts from other participants

Program operators also see:

  • Client Interactions — Comments, reactions, channel messages, and posts from participants in your programs
  • Client Activities — Worksheet responses, ritual responses, milestone completions, event RSVPs, event feedback, and booking activity
  • Sales Notifications — Purchase and registration alerts, capacity warnings, refund notifications, and subscription cancellations

Manage exceptions

When you change notification settings for a specific channel or feed inside a program (for example, muting a channel), that creates an exception — an override of your default preferences just for that spot.

The Exceptions section at the bottom of your preferences lists all active overrides, grouped by notification type. Each exception shows the channel or feed name, which program it belongs to, and its current setting.

To manage exceptions:

  • Remove a single exception — Click the X next to it to revert that channel or feed back to your default setting
  • Reset all exceptions — Click Reset all to default and confirm. This removes every override and returns all channels and feeds to your default preferences.

If you haven’t changed any per-channel or per-feed settings, the exceptions section shows: “You haven’t created any exceptions yet.”
