See your programs as cards in your AI assistant
When an AI assistant that supports MCP Apps is connected to your upcoach organization, it can answer a question about a program with a card in the chat instead of a block of text. There are four cards: a program overview, progress, activity completion, and events. Cards show your program’s current data, in light or dark to match your chat.
Before you begin
- Connect your AI assistant to your organization first: see Connect AI tools to your organization with MCP. Only an organization Owner, Admin or Implementation Admin can connect.
- If you connected before Oct 31, refresh the connector once to see the new cards.
- Cards appear in AI assistants that support MCP Apps. Other AI tools answer the same questions with text.
Open a card
Ask your AI assistant about a program in your own words, for example:
- “How is my Wellness Program doing?”
- “Who’s on track in the Leadership Cohort, and who went quiet?”
- “Who hasn’t done the Week 2 reflection yet?”
- “What’s coming up in my sales bootcamp this month?”
The assistant can answer with the card that fits. You can also name the card: “Show the progress card for my Wellness Program.” Every card has a Refresh button that loads its latest data.
The four cards
Program overview
A program at a glance:
- How many members it has, and how many were active in the last 30 days, compared with the 30 days before
- Average progress, and the share of members who finished the program
- How many sections and modules it has
- The next three events that haven’t ended, with how many members are going
The Who’s on track, Activity completion and Events buttons ask the assistant for those cards.
Progress
Who is on track and who went quiet:
- On track: participants who were active in the program in the last 14 days
- Went quiet: participants with no activity in the last 14 days, including anyone who never started
Each person shows their progress and when they were last active. The card also shows the program’s average progress and the share of participants who finished it. Draft a check-in for who went quiet asks the assistant to draft a message for them for you to review, and not to send it yet.
The lists show at most the 500 most recently active participants; the numbers at the top count everyone.
Activity completion
Pick an activity to see:
- Who has completed it, and when
- Who hasn’t completed it yet
- Who was invited to the program but hasn’t joined yet
The card shows how many completed it out of all participants. An activity in a section that isn’t released yet is marked, since participants can’t see it. Draft a reminder for who hasn’t done it asks the assistant to draft a reminder for you to review, and not to send it yet. Pick another activity takes you back to the list. Each list shows at most 500 people, sorted by name; the numbers at the top count everyone in each list.
Events
The program’s events from today through the next 30 days, unless you ask the assistant for other dates (up to a year at a time). Each shows its date, time and time zone, length, whether it’s online or in person, and how many members are going.
- Reschedule (events that haven’t started): pick a new date and time, then click Ask to reschedule.
- Cancel (events that haven’t ended): click Cancel, then Ask to cancel.
Reschedule and Cancel only fill in a message in your chat. They don’t change the event. When the message is sent, it asks the assistant to show you the change and wait for your OK before making it. Each request covers only that one event, even when it’s part of a series. Once the change is made, members who said they’re going are notified, just as when you change the event in upcoach.
What to do next
- Connect AI tools to your organization with MCP: every tool the connector offers, and how to connect
- Track participant progress with reports: the same progress in upcoach itself
