Optional Product Updates and Newsletter

Signup and the Account tab on 3.0 include an optional checkbox, left unchecked: “Email me product updates and the occasional newsletter from upcoach.”

• Your Details: on this signup step the checkbox starts unchecked, and the person can opt in.
• Account: on their own account, a signed-in person can change the same choice. While it is checked, the page adds “Uncheck to unsubscribe.” Unchecking the box withdraws that consent.
• Your choice is saved on your account: checking the box records consent. Existing accounts stay opted out until that person checks the box. That consent syncs to the marketing audience when an audience is configured.
