What did you do before upcoach?
Technology changes really fast, so suddenly you don’t only have to be a coach, you also have to understand technology to be able to build in this virtual space. That’s always been the challenge.
When I moved from England to America, I didn’t really know anything about the online world so much. I’d built a business in London to over 4.4 million pounds that was mainly offline, and then when I moved to America in 2009, I realized I’d left all my clients behind in Europe. So I needed a platform and I needed to understand this digital space because I knew it was where we were headed as well. I’ve ended up on online training platforms because there really wasn’t anything else available. I’ve literally done nearly everything in the market. I’ve got online training programs, they’re still just sitting there.
There were lots of issues in these pieces that I was piecing together. And my poor clients were having to continuously look in their inboxes to find the links to different things that were all over the place.
What were you looking for in a solution?
I’ve been looking for ages. It was between two very young startups that were trying to build platforms and upcoach was one of them. Now I’m so glad I went with upcoach because they’ve listened to me in a way that no other technology team ever has. As a consequence, I feel like they’ve built it for me.
Finding a technology team that understood what coaching was. That was really challenging.
I needed something really easy because I wasn’t just looking for myself, I was looking for my audience of coaches as well.
I’ve been looking for a platform that really supports coaching in the world and not online training or membership sites or any of these other things that we’ve had to use in the past. I was looking for something that will really help my clients get better results from coaching, and then all the other elements that go around that for deep transformation and change.
What is your favorite part of upcoach?
They’ve managed to build a platform that is so resonant for coaches, it’s just amazing! I use it now for all of my clients, single clients, groups, group coaching, and membership programs. This has changed everything in the business for me. Everything.
It truly is a place for coaches to bring their clients and have everything all in one dashboard. It’s amazing. There’s nothing else like it.
Every coach that I’ve shown upcoach loves the platform and then they’re transitioning themselves into it because there is nothing else like it on the market. I know there’s nothing else like it on the market because I’ve been watching for the past decade. And even now there’s nothing, there are other things coming in similar ways, but nothing does what upcoach does.
The close relationship with the upcoach team has been absolutely pivotal to me because I need to know they’ve got my back. They’re the tech experts. And I’m not joking. When I say, I almost feel like they’re my team, because if I have an issue, they are on it.
I think the perfect client for upcoach is anybody who’s a professional changemaker, it’s not just about caching now. If you’re a coach, there’s also sharing resources that are needed, to get your clients where they want to go faster and easier. We’re solving our client’s problems as well. upcoach is an amazing platform because it’s going to help your clients change and it’s going to help them do that in a way that doesn’t always depend on you. That’s what upcoach does, it bridges the learning and reality, life, business, whatever it is. Nothing else that I know does that.
Also, it’s incredibly affordable. It’s a no-brainer.
How do you use upcoach?
My clients’ transformation is not only connected to the live coaching sessions. There’s usually time between coaching sessions in the momentum of change when they’re waiting to talk to you again. upcoach picks up the slack between coaching sessions or between consultancy elements. There’s this blended approach that you can put through upcoach, taking one person from here to there. It can help you incredibly with doing that because of the accountability, the action items, and the way that they pull any training resources or materials, or videos that you create for your clients. This solves the problem that we’ve always had in our industry of helping people – it is not only about learning from us and getting insights but actually implementing and making a difference in their lives.
It’s enabled me to risk a little bit more. I’ve started a mastermind now, which is so amazing because everything’s in one place.
I can be more hands-off, I’ve got more time back. And not only that – I’m earning more now because I’ve got more leverage.
