Yes. We’ll be adding ‘feedback loop enhancements’ in the future, however experiencify IS NOT gamification, as the technical meaning of ‘Gamification’ means - turning an educational or learning opportunity into a game.
So adding bells, whistles, leaderboards or confetti, does not constitute gamification.
Our Co-Founder, has been in the coaching/learning industry for 25 years, and knows the leading experts on Gamification very well. And he sees people misuse the term constantly.
Here’s what Todd said on a recent training call with others on the platform:
“Dopamine hits are nice, heck, Facebook and Instagram have them, but nothing beats a client ACTUALLY progressing their skills or results.
Clicking on a ‘Next’ button on a course lesson doesn’t mean they’ve earned a skill.
Clicking ‘Done’ on a Task, Habit, or Project, does.
We want to ensure we’re using the terms properly, and all the LMS systems that talk about ‘Gamification’, don’t actually have gamification, they have Feedback Loops.”
I hope that answers your question and adds a little context.
